FIRST BRUSH OF SPRING Workshops! Workshops are located in New Harmony, Indiana and hosted by the Hoosier Art Salon New Harmony Gallery. 

Plein Air organizations and painting groups across the South are coming together to host the fifth "Plein Air South" regional gathering, March 30-April 3, 2020 in Apalachicola, Florida. The planning committee is hard at work scheduling 5 days of presentations, demonstrations, instruction, vendor exhibition, and of course, painting outdoors! 

This workshop is for those willing to step out of their comfort zone and jump into the world of confident and expressive paint application. You will come away with a deeper knowledge of how to eliminate fussy detail and make a brushstroke count!

Painting from direct observation is a crucial skill, but I believe we can be equally inspired by a moment captured in a photo. In this workshop, we are going to explore how to translate that reference into luminous, energetic paintings with a "painted-from-life" feel.
