Painting from direct observation is a crucial skill, but I believe we can be equally inspired by a moment captured in a photo. In this workshop, we are going to explore how to translate that reference into luminous, energetic paintings with a "painted-from-life" feel. 

Anne will demonstrate how she uses shapes, color, and brushwork to translate her subject in her own voice. Working from your own photo reference, you will learn how to edit, sketch, and then translate your inspiration into a painting reflecting you own style.

Come ready to work hard and be open to experimenting with new approaches to painting!
