In this fun and informative workshop, I will share with you the benefits of going solvent-free with Gouache, Acrylics, and Water Soluble Oils! I’ll show you the flexibility and versatility of each medium and how to take control of edges, texture, and color.

Demonstrations and presentations will illuminate the unique features of each medium and show you just how darn easy they are to work and travel with.

Using a variety of paint mediums encourages flexibility, creativity, and opens you up to happy accidents. This “playtime” will help you grow in all aspects of your practice.

You will learn:

How to build layers to achieve texture

How to use quick drying times to your advantage

When to stain, when to load the brush

Underpainting to influence value and color

The freedom of the limited palette

Brushes and surfaces that help you “lay it and leave it”

*Anne will give you exercises each week to practice what’s learned in class.
